JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
This individual will fill the role of main Editor, Digital content writer and must have basic knowledge of digital marketing.

Responsibilities:
• Writing sports content for the website and social media publications (Doing interviews with sources, writing, editing, and submitting copies.
• Providing editorial support for our online content including translating documents.

• Coming up with new ideas for the social media team and marketing campaigns.
• Doing exclusive video interviews and editing for online channels.
• Developing and maintaining contacts.
• Content proofreading.
• To compete in a demanding sports industry to produce great content.
• Writing Press releases about products, services, and community service responsibility (PRs).
• Contributing to planning and running campaigns for the marketing department.
• Working closely with the Marketing Department to develop content for marketing and promotion materials.
• Content Translations.
• Working closely alongside the Digital Marketing Specialist and Graphic Designer to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns for the company.
• All other Ad Hoc duties expected.

Requirements
• Minimum 3 years Journalist and/ or editorial experience.
• Must have basic digital marketing experience.
• Experience in Sports Journalism is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience dealing with online media and influencers.
• A good knowledge of the Tanzania traditional (TV, Radio and print) and online media landscape.
• Academic Certificates.
• Completed Tertiary Education Advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Independence and ability to self-manage.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
• High level of attention to detail.
• Willing to work Day and/or Night Shift.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays as required.
• Interest in and knowledge of sports (soccer, cricket, rugby, tennis, basketball, etc) an advantage.
