DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | i. Conducting veterinary diseases screening for pastoralists in its area; ii.In collaboration with health inspectors, he will inspect the meat and cleanliness of the abattoir regularly; iii. Collecting data on meat and animal products such as hides and writing reports; iv. Coordinating veterinary diseases under the supervision of a veterinarian and advising breeders on how to protect livestock against diseases; v. Visiting pastoralists regularly and giving them professional technical advice in their workplace; vi. Collect all data on livestock development in its area; vii. Advising on and supervising the construction of dips, abattoirs, granaries and infrastructure related to good animal husbandry; viii.Managing the mixing of josho; ix.Development of livestock relocation and production in general; x. Advising breeders on best practices for milk production and calf care; xi.Doing other duties of his / her profession as assigned by his / her supervisor. |
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE | Employment of Form IV or VI Diploma graduates (Diploma NTA Level 6) in one of the Livestock Production disciplines; Dairy and Poultry Production; Livestock Health and Production; Meat Inspection from Veterinary Training Agency Colleges or from another Government recognized college. |
