Job Purpose
Jointly with Operations supervisor provide accurate expiry, short expiry and vintage reports on daily, weekly, monthly basis as required.
Key Position Accountabilities
The job holder is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
- To manage the stock movement to and from warehouse ensuring stock movement is based on the requisition placed by the outlets.
- Ensure stock movements is adequately recorded in inventory and ERP.
- Carry out periodic reconciliation between stock as per customs records (TANCIS) and stock in hand as per ERP/inventory records
- To validate receiving through GRN, put away and bin accuracy to ensure accurate stocks of both products and assets including record of expiry / Vintage / Supplier batch and report on pick discipline
- To ensure that all physical inventory checks are carried out at all locations as per planned schedules. Carry out an annual count in all warehouse locations. Report on progress of scheduled Perpetual and Annual Counts.
- To analyze processes and recommend process improvements required for achieving 100% accuracy in the receiving, put away and picking process. This includes recording errors and recommending disciplinary or other corrective action against individuals or teams consistently failing to maintain acceptable standards
- Supervise the destruction of product in line with ELR accounting policies and the rules and regulations of local government bodies.
- Produce audit reports of receipts, putaways and picking accuracy checks.
- Review and write off damaged / expired inventories in warehouse. Keep all records of destruction and accounting entries
- Review on regular basis short expiry product and advise Customer Service , Category Managers and Supply Chain on any potential issues
- Generate monthly Inventory reports for Financial reporting
- Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Basic knowledge of audit, internal controls and accounting
- Previous experience of FMCG environments and products essential.
- Exposure to ERP / WMS including use of RF technology.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Thorough knowledge of latest industry standards relating to stock control methods.
- Computer literate, able to compile reports and spreadsheet analysis using MS office suite.
- Sound knowledge of expiry controls.
- Min 4 years experience ideally with management small teams of diverse nationalities and abilities.

- Confident individual with balanced pragmatic view for service delivery resilient personality / self-motivator / achiever / physically fit.
- Process oriented with systematic approach to issues.
- Excellent communicator in verbal and written mediums in English
- Team player who can earn respect and is comfortable working in results originated environment.
- Experience of modern warehouse layouts, including racking configuration and pick face useful.
