About The RoleThe Finance Business Partner Sustainability FS Africa acts as a strong business partner for Sustainability and Direct Sourcing in Africa, providing visibility and understanding of the different businesses over the region; develop regional approaches to financial reporting and team organization . This role provides insight to and advises Sustainability management on achieving the business’ strategic targets as well as maximizing value, performing a range of analytics to build and evaluate business cases / plans. The Finance Business Partner Sustainability FS Africa proactively develops and drives initiatives to enhance financial performance, collaborating with and integrating the knowledge from internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures on time and accurate financial and non-financial reporting (including reporting to customers and donors on specific sustainability programs). The role will oversee working with all the countries in Africa where BC has a sustainability & Farms services activities and working closely with the FBP sustainability Farm Service of each country and management. The focus will be on supporting the management team by providing the managers with financial information to enable them to make operational decisions based on facts and figures. Information on evolution versus targets for operation efficiencies, headcount, costs, overtime, etc. must be provided in a professional and timely fashion.Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing Sustainability and Farms services business strategy in Africa
- Support the Sustainability leader on preparing and determining business objectives, strategies, and tactics
- Analyze, interpret and manage financial and business performance with a special emphasis on material variance analysis
- Manage a team of site Finance business partners sustainability & Farms services across Africa
- Proactively provide financial insights on efficiency improvements, cost savings, expansion projects, footprint studies and other potential projects
- Advise the management teams in short and long-term decision making
- Transform historical and forecasted numbers into actionable results
- Facilitate strategic planning processes across the business
- Support budgets and forecasts together with budget holders
- Government Financial incentives projects
- Continuously strengthen internal control procedures (operational expenses which reflect reality)
- As a business partner to the Head Sustainability, Trading & Sourcing in Africa, the Finance BP Sustainability & Farms services Africa has to drive change and continuously recommend scenarios to increase efficiency or avoid inefficiencies
- Perform operation, financial & business management reviews
- Perform any ad hoc activities requested by the Director Osco Africa or Director, Finance business Partner Africa or any relevant stakeholder
- Develop and maintain business performance scorecards including the associated metrics / KPIs
About You
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
- 5+ years of experience in Finance (controlling/accounting) or operational/process engineering
- Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries
- Good knowledge of controlling and financial methodologies and reporting
- Analytical, hands on, flexible and solutions oriented with change management and process improvement experience
- Fluent in English business proficiency (written and spoken), French is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP- ERP systems
- Willing to travel within the African region and occasionally to Europe.
