Service Descriptions 

•    Manage the Planning, Developing and implementation the Companies Internal and External Communication strategy (long term and short term) and monitor their success.
•    Create, Acquire, and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up to date with relevant developments.
•    Manage the company’s adherence to style guide and value and quality control of information released.
•    Manage and supervise the creation and dissemination of internal and external communication content and planning of events.
•    Manage the budget, monitoring, and evaluation of the Project communications activities.
•    Coordinate and guarantee the smooth running of all communications activities.
•    Ensure Provision communication support to the Project and Cooperate teams.
•    Establish and maintain a strong effective network and working relationships with media representatives, local and municipal government officials, national business, and trade contacts.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for media.
•    Manage communication around the project goodwill activities.
•    Participate in the crisis management team.
•    Develop Brand & Communications training calendar and oversee execution.
•    Supervise and support the development of corporate communications team.
•    Managing a communications budget.
•    Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
•    Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
•    Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players.
•    Coordinate with global counterparts to share best practices, leveraging communications collateral and/or resources where appropriate.

Qualifications/Experience required 

•    MA or advanced degree in communications, PR, or related field.
•    7+ years communications experience preferably corporate communications/PR.
•    At least four years of experience managing people.
•    Experience in communication strategy development and implementation.
•    Experience in media or managing media stakeholders.
•    Experience in engaging with the government organs and stakeholders.
•    Experience supporting internal communications and/or employee engagement.
•    Experience working with creative teams do develop content and campaigns.
•    People management skills, including talent development.
•    Ability to interface with senior leaders and global colleagues in a professional, appropriate, and inclusive manner and demonstrate discretion as needed.
•    Proven ability to operate an accelerated pace and meet business objectives.
•    An established relationship with media practitioners.
•    Awareness of and proficiency with communications technologies.
•    Experience in stakeholder/community engagement.
•    Clear and concise communication with team members and senior management.
•    Strong and confident leadership.
•    Ability to delegate and assign tasks based on shifting priorities.
•    Strong writer, storyteller, and content producer.
•    Proven ability to ambiguous situations and unexpected requests, events, or crises.
•    Preferably be of Swahili mother tongue with excellent fluency in English (speaking and writing).
•    Content writing and production experience for all media platforms: mainstream, digital, alternative, and folk.
•    Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.
•    Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
