Account Manager

Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

Location: Sevilla

Purpose

As Account Manager, you are responsible for selling Medline’s complete product range within the designated area. You are responsible for maintaining the existing customer portfolio and will work on expanding sales in your region. You will attend product presentations and product demonstrations in operating rooms in hospitals. You will also attend conferences, fairs, and tenders.

Activities & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sales strategies to ensure the company meets its revenue objectives by growing new and existing business in your target group
  • Increase MEDLINE’s sales volume and margins in your district
  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers about their industry and offer unique perspectives on their business, which link back to MEDLINE’s portfolio
  • Research prospective customer organizations to identify the right customer stakeholders to be involved in the purchasing process
  • Coach customers stakeholders and build consensus for MEDLINE solutions within their organization
  • Maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty resulting in long-term contracts for the supply of your products
  • Develop strategies independently and collaboratively to solve challenges at negotiation level
  • Set up a business plan to achieve goals and derive individualized goals for each customer account
  • Collaborate with KAM to optimize the overall strategic approach of key accounts
  • Manage public tenders and price quotations in collaboration with the Customer Service Department, the Products Divisions and the Sales Direction
  • Inform customers about MEDLINE products and innovations and promote MEDLINE image to them
  • Participate in the launch of new products and apply our marketing strategy in the field
  • Organize symposium, conferences and regional exhibitions to promote the products

Job Requirements

  • University bachelor degree related to Health Science or job relevant experience
  • Successfully delivers targets consistently in a very competitive market and complex sales environment
  • Industry experience and knowledge of hospital decision-making processes and tendering strategies preferable, but not a must
  • Sound Judgement, strategic thinking, analytical skills and result driven
  • An individual who is driven, motivated and has a desire for high rewards
  • Strong Communication and Influencing skills
  • Focus on the Customer and Networking Skills
  • Resilience to change and high workloads
  • Intermediate level of English and native Spanish
  • Good MS-Office skills (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel frequently (>50%)
  • Driving License Class B
