About the job

We are looking for interns from foreign universities interested in sports and with an economics/marketing and sport coaching (not mandatory) background. The reason why we are looking for such subjects is our goal to extend the Tanzanian sport market interest abroad, taking advantage of such interns competences and knowledge of western audience interests.

Although we are actually working in the football and basketball field, we are always ready to include new sports in our program.

The sport management program is aimed to help the development of the Tanzanian sport market in different ways.

1. Social media activity is foundamental to boost such program thereby widening the AIT sport audience by creating and posting great contents. To do so interns can take advantage of the actual partnerships with local teams and institutions to gain materials like photos, videos and instant stories which are necessary to feed the NGO sport pages (Facebook: AIT Sport; Instagram: @artintanzaniasport)

2. Events organization its a great way to increase the interest of the audience toward basketball and also to spread the audience itself. As a matter of fact, occasions such as tournaments bring together a lot of people and most of all give the opportunity to gain more material to our social media team. Moreover, through events is possible to obtain more helpful contacts in relation to our goal.

3. Playing and coaching sports is a great way to understand better the related local system. Consequently, it enables our interns to work better on the already cited points by managing such activity in the proper way.

It is important to say that Tanzania consistutes a football-first country, in which almost all the other sports are not developed as the latter. Then, interns are free to bring every other idea that they consider useful to wide the Tanzanian sport field and AIT will be glad to help them realizing their goals.

The program does not require neither a specific lenght nor to be done within already set dates. You are free to choose when to come to Tanzania and how long you will stay here depending on your preferences and needs.
