We are looking for an experienced Developer with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Access) for the Cloud to support our implementation of Atlassian for the Cloud! This role will be responsible for working with product management, technology, and leadership to establish standards for project management and development with ample opportunities for ongoing development within the field of Atlassian and Jira development.

✅Your day-to-day work:

Atlassian Specific:

• Serve as the overall subject matter expert and business owner for Atlassian for the Cloud, setting standards that align with business and engineering needs and which balance the need for flexibility with standardization and scalability
• Create new fields, screens, forms, workflows, and related Jira components. Modify existing issue types, screens, and schemes, and provide maintenance and support to existing projects
• Provide training to users across engineering, product management, and operations
• Resolve user support, including evaluating the use of plug-ins and extensions
• Configure reports and dashboards in Jira Plans to support strategic business processes and provide transparency to leadership
• Manage permissions for adds, changes, and deactivations
• Promote an environment that minimizes data clutter and workflow inefficiencies and be a champion for continuous improvement and use of the Jira platform across the business
• Actively manage Atlassian licenses to ensure cost efficiency
• Develop and run reports to provide transparency for technology, project management, and leadership regarding project health and progress
• Build integrated dashboards to link project information with scrum team boards and report project health
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to implement new features to enhance collaboration and productivity via Jira and Confluence.
• Partner with leaders to leverage Jira for our Strategic Program Delivery function (strategic road map, project lifecycle, Agile, and release management

General DevOps:

• Supports Engineering team on application configuration, tuning, and deployment needs
• Performance tune infrastructure and application stacks
• Supports capacity planning for a rapidly growing production environment
• Finds and tests new infrastructure and application technologies to help improve the platform scalability and operations
• Ensures high availability and disaster recovery are in place and provides response to incidents and alerts associated with DevOps
• Continuously analyzes, executes, and improves DevOps tools, processes and procedures
• Proposes product design features to support scalability, usability, and better performance
• Mentors other team members on the latest technological advances within the current technology used
• Works alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives

✅Requirements:

• 3 + years of experience administering Atlassian and Jira and Confluence
• Experience managing and supporting both Jira Cloud/Jira Software/Jira Service Management projects
• Experience implementing and managing plugins, such as: ScriptRunner, PowerBI Connector, Zephyr, Tempo Timesheets
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience documenting and improving business processes (LEAN experience a plus)
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
• Experience in DevOps and/or development experience
• Intermediate knowledge & experience:
• Linux-based infrastructures (RedHat), including containers technologies
• General coding languages required (C#, Python, Bash, and Powershell)
• Database applications such as SQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
• Using configuration and infrastructure management tools (Octopus Deploy, Ansible, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Cloud Formation)
• Commonly used Amazon Web Services infrastructure and patterns
• Best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Working in physical, virtual, and "cloud" environments
• Configuring and maintaining application monitoring/trending tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana, and CloudWatch)
