SMG – Service Management Group is hiring an Account Director to join our team!  

We are hiring an Account Director to manage a portfolio of global accounts focused on the renewal and upsell of SMG’s solutions. As the Account Director, you will partner with the Client Success team to assess client needs, share SMG’s product and service solutions, and sell through solutions that are designed to solve critical business problems. This role will be measured against key performance indicators including but not limited to GRR and bookings.

As an Account Director at SMG, this is what you will do: 

  • Become knowledgeable on SMG’s suite of offerings, with the ability to lead product demos and service offering discussions.
  • Establish yourself as a client expert with key stakeholders through the understanding of corporate goals, teams and processes.
  • Work cross-functionally to leverage internal expertise to solve client needs.
  • Manage sales pipeline within CRM and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Conduct M/QBRs, strategic conversations, and attend / leverage client insights presentations, maturity assessments and journey mapping where applicable.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and key differentiators between SMG and other service providers.  Be able to clearly convey the differences.
  • Able to provide feedback and insights to Marketing about client needs, solution feedback and industry trends.

The following requirements are key to your success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business management or similar
  • 5+ years of SaaS or MSP sales and account management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills including experience leading meetings with executives/C-Suite
  • A history of exceeding quota and KPIs focused on client health, growth, and retention.
  • Experience with CRMs, lead nurturing and prospecting tools ideal
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others to act.
  • Deadline driven with ability to multitask and be organized.
  • Restaurant, consumer services or retail industry experience ideal but not required.

This is a remote position. Anywhere that allows a minimum of four hours of business working hours overlap with US Central time zone.
