COMMUNICATION ADVISOR position in Dar es Salaam, TZ

We are looking for a Communication Advisor to coordinate the communication activities for a 4-year project aimed at promoting 'Communication and visibility of the EU-Tanzania partnership' for the EU Delegation in Tanzania.

The services to be implemented by the team overall range from organisation of events and communication campaigns, media and public relations' management, content production, audio-visual and graphic production, coordination and reporting. The profile will coordinate and provide consultancy on the communication activities and liaise directly with the Team Leader and EUD to Tanzania ensuring quality of the services rendered and time management.

Requirements:

Qualification skills

 Master's Degree in in journalism, communication or any subject relevant to the assignment, or equivalent professional experience;

 Experience with blogging/vlogging;

 Experience regarding photography and videography;

 Experience in the field of information and communication;

 Knowledge of communication in Tanzanian context is an asset.

 Fluent in English and Swahili;

General professional experience

 At least 6 years of proven experience in a subject relevant to the assignment, including experience as journalist;

Specific professional experience

 Excellent communication, writing and editing skills - ability to write success stories, features stories, fact sheets, publications, articles, press packs, video scripts, and others.

 Experience in event management: organising EU visibility events mentioned in the specific activities; implement EU communication campaigns.

 Ability to work within a team and meet strict deadlines;

 Ability to write clearly in a journalistic way
