Position                                                   International Monitoring and Evaluation Intern
Report to                                                    Program manager
Duration                                                    6 months
Time                                                          16 hours a week

Job purpose The M&E Intern will support the program performance management frameworks as well as specific program M&E activities to ensure the quality, and effectiveness of our program implementation. The intern will provide assistance to the program staff in developing results frameworks during program design and implementation, creating M&E processes and tools, contributing to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results

Duties and responsibilities
● Ensure that the M&E databases are updated routinely and systematically
● Develop M&E plan for the project
● Assist with the design and development of questionnaires for data collection and analysis;
● Support timely reports to donors and other applicable authorities
● Participate in the preparation and implementation of special studies (e.g. baseline, impact evaluation, mid-term review, and end-line). This may include:
○ Protocol development
○ Drafting data collection tools
○ Conducting analyses and drafting reports
● Ensure timely compilation of internal and external progress reports (monthly, quarterly and annually)
● Perform any other task to be assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications
● Specific requirements include: Minimum bachelor degree holder in monitoring and evaluation, statistics,
sociology, economics or other related fields.
● At least 1 years of experience performing monitoring and evaluation preferably in donor funded projects
● Significant experience in developing monitoring plans and/or management information systems one year of which spent working with NGOs.
● Strong computer skills particularly in spreadsheets, database and statistical applications
● Extensive knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies and principles including quantitative and qualitative approaches.
● Good communication and interpersonal skills, team player, able to work under minimal supervision.
● Good in computer and analytical skills

Working conditions
This is a volunteering internship position, for that case, an intern must be able to finance his/her own transport to work and lunch. Aqua-Farms Organization will finance all work-related expenses that will be needed to fulfil the organization interests.
