Position Summary

The Ndoombo Community Dispensary seeks qualified and experienced individuals to work as a Clinical Officer in Ndoombo Mfulony. They will be required to work on-site 5-6 days a week. It will be required that there is a full understanding and following of the Tanzania Standard of Care Guidelines and have working knowledge of IMCI guidelines. Your practice should focus on patient-centered care. There is an opportunity to work with visiting providers and you will have guidance from our medical director.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Treat patients according to National Guidelines for Clinical Management, Standard Treatment Guidelines, and Local Guidelines.
  • Review laboratory results and resolve queries related to data collected.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Participate in the development of standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that protocol standard operating procedures and all related services are well communicated and duly followed by all personnel.
  • Ensure that all ethical concerns in the protocols are reported to the medical director.
  • Work professionally and ethically with accountability and integrity with all patients and staff.
  • Carry out public health education sessions if necessary.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director.

Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma in clinical medicine.
  • At least one year of working experience.
  • Enrolled and allowed to practice as a clinical officer by the Medical Council.
