DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and report on the operational and functional management of the workshops.
- Workshops include, Health & Safety Operations, Human Resources Management and Finance.
- Develop efficiencies in all areas of workshops to maximize stakeholder interests. These include:
- Enhancing and maintaining excellent service levels in the workshops
- Enhancing technical efficiencies in the workshops
- Maximizing turnarounds in workshop operations
- At minimum, meeting annual Budget and KPI targets
- Maximizing Company profitability through effective cost control and maintaining company assets in good repair
- Inculcating and propagating a culture within the company and continuous self – improvement
- Mentoring and empowering all staff to perform better
- Close interaction with Finance Department to ensure timely recording of workshop resources and repairs applied through stores
- Employing and retaining good quality staff for the operations of the company.
- Effectively coordinate all areas of the workshops of the Company through good management practices, effective communication and timely reporting and feedback loops with all departments in the company.
- Enhance and encourage company utilization of SAP Business software application through data access, mining and intelligent reporting to provide better management tools for better business decisions and asset and resource utilization.
- Always protect and secure all company assets and resources.
- Participate and provide feedback in company and business strategy.
- Assist in quotations to prospective and existing clients for all company services
- Leverage company assets to maximize efficiencies, returns on investment, profitability and facilitate standardization.
- Working as a team in delivering all round excellent service to existing and new clients in a timely and pro-active manner.
- Safeguard the assets and interests of the shareholders of the company.
- Mentor and grow staff in delivering on their capabilities to support the growth of the business.
- Report to the Directors on a timely basis on all significant matters pertaining to the health and growth of the company.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Directors from time to time.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least ten years in Mechanical, Operational, Transport and Logistics
