Description
The responsibilities of the Team Leader Local Policy & Partnership focus on steering and coordinating the Tanzania Regenerative Production Landscapes project (RPL). S/he directly oversees the implementation of RPL, ensuring the project objectives are achieved.
Overall targets
A.Ensure achievement of objectives as outlined in the project document in an efficient and effective manner
B.Coordinate RPL interventions at all levels and engage in further development of landscape interventions (including the acquisition of co-funding)
C.Effectively manage project human resources by creating a working environment in which the team and partners can function and effectively execute their professional duties and responsibilities to maximize project outputs and outcomes
D.Manage project finance and assets efficiently and in full compliance with HELVETAS financial management policies and regulations
E.Establish and maintain excellent relationships and exchanges with public and private partners and stakeholders including donors
Basic education
MSc. in conservation forestry, agriculture, agroforestry, ecosystems, environmental and natural resources sciences, land use management or other related relevant fields
Professional experience
•Minimum 10 years of professional working experience of which at least 3 years a management position and involvement in policy making.
•Experience in working in a multi-actor project setup
Further training or specific skills
•Sound written and presentation skills
•Experience in working with a landscape approach
•Knowledge and experience in working with communities on ecosystem conservation
•Creative and practical problem-solving
