Job Summary;
Our client is looking for a Secondary Principal to join their team and foster a healthy learning environment for their students. His/her primary responsibilities will be providing strategic direction and leadership in School operations as well as leading the School as an effective, holistic and successful educational institution by overseeing both the academic and Pastoral care life of the school.

Responsibilities:
• Implement and uphold the Ethos of the School
• Ensure the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of every child and adult
• Demonstrate and maintain the highest of professional standards including courtesy, collaboration, confidentiality and commitment
• Plan, delegate, and direct work to all other staff and make decisions on academic-related matters at the School level
• Plan and monitor the School Budget and ensure that all expenditure is within the budget limit
• Affect academic policies by implementing procedures, standards, and programs relevant and appropriate to the SD/IP
• Ensure that academic and pastoral development is planned, proposed and carried out accordingly
• Oversee the development of opportunities for all children in extra-curricular activities
• Oversee people management activities, including; recruitment, induction, monitoring, assessment, and evaluation (appraisal) of staff
• Ensure effective teaching, learning, and assessment processes and evaluate student achievement
• Set and monitor learning goals for students and teachers based on curricula implementation at the School
• Ensure the establishment maintenance and up-keep of the learning environment and classroom ambiance conducive for 21st century learning
• Oversee the development of opportunities for all children in extra-curricular activities
• Ensure authentic maintenance of the student database including academic performance, attendance and disciplinary records

Requirements
• Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree Education or Equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in as a Principal or similar roles
• 21st century approach to Teaching and Learning Methodology
• Previous experience in an International School as a Headteacher/Principal or similar roles for at least 5 years
• Cambridge / other International curriculum experience
