Position Summary
Tucson is looking for a Laboratory Technician Officers to fill a vacant positions in its projects based at Singida, Simiyu, Kagera, Shinyanga, Tabora, Mara and in Coast Region (Pwani). The Officers will be charged with carrying on research as per research protocol, vaccinating, taking history, examining, diagnosing Covid. Also, the Officers will sensitize participants on Covid education program, investigation, collecting data for vaccinated personal and reporting the outcomes.

Job title: Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities
• Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory instruments or equipment.
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications

Performing routine laboratory functions to support scientific experiments and investigations
Setting up, testing, adjusting, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and apparatus such as titrators, pH meters and centrifuges
Recording, analysing and writing reports, reviews and summaries on the findings of experiments and trials
Collecting and preparing samples, solutions, cultures and specimens and ensuring safe disposals of waste
Enforcing strict health and safety regulations
Staying up to date with relevant scientific developments that can improve the efficiency of lab
• Train new employees on topics such as the proper operation of laboratory equipment.
• Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses, using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical or chemical separation techniques, or microscopy.
• Provide technical support or assistance to chemists or engineers.

• Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.
• Develop or conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality
• Write technical reports or prepare graphs or charts to document experimental results.
• Direct or monitor other workers

Qualifications:
• Certificate or Diploma in relevant laboratory studies
• At least 2 month's work experience in Hospital
