Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is world class producer of zinc, lead and bulk concentrates with a long future ahead of us. Our open cut mine is located in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 65 km from Borroloola. Our zinc and bulk concentrate are transported to Bing Bong port facility and shipped to customers all over the world.

At MRM, we’re looking for a Maintenance Services Person to make our village the best place to be, apart from hom e. You’ve gained your Certificate II in Security (NT license - preferable but not mandatory) and are type of person who doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty to fix, service and maintain our living and working areas. You enjoy working with trade’s people to get the job done safely. You might even be thinking about upskilling through gaining your aviation security card (ASIC), EWP and working at heights license/ticket – if you are the right person we’ll make this happen for you.

The best thing about this role is how varied it is. You might kick of the day by using your HR license to drive the bus to key mine areas making sure our people can begin their day. Then you might jump into a team prestart to improve the landscape by mowing lawns, planting, checking our irrigation systems, testing the pool, treating water and managing waste. You can use your forklift skills to move things from A to B and at the end of the day you might ferry people to the plane and provide aerodrome security services so they can head back to their families, friends and homes.

The role reports to the Supervisor, Mine Services Team and is FIFO from Darwin, working 15 days on and 13 days off roster. Make the most of your 13 day weekend discovering a rich culture and heritage, places like Kakadu and Uluru, attend exciting events & festivals, visit national parks & waterfalls, catch a Barra and see crocodiles in the wild. We believe in the Territory first and will even move you here.
