Job DescriptionWRS are looking for a Mechanical & Piping Jetty Construction Supervisor to work for a Major EPCM company to be based in Tanzania.This role will be a long term contract working on a 6x2 rotational basis.Some of the main responsibilities of the role include

• Maintain control of all operations, ensuring safety of personnel engaged in the Jetty and Load out facility construction.
• Carry out daily and weekly “look ahead” to include weather for works over water, and de-risk these operations with the main works jetty contractor.
• Ensure that all works over water that are carried out have been fully risk accessed, and Method statements are with crews and the crews have been fully briefed.
• Participate and conduct performance management reviews with the discipline leads.
• Promote and adhere to EACOP Safety Management System.
• Plan all craft discipline work in area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/construction related)
• Minimum of 10 years’ marine based construction experience
• Must possess construction experience in building Jetties and Load out Facilities at least 3 projects.
• Staff management experience (knowledge transfer)
• Excellent communications skills
• Advanced written and spoken English
• Basic Computer Skills
• Competency in written/oral communication
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel as and when required
