  1. Develop and implement Marketing and Business development plans, policies and procedures in line with the Company’s Strategic Plan to ensure that revenue grows sustainably by using the best methods to attract and retain customers while ensuring efficient service delivery.
  2. Prospect and identify corporate clients to facilitate the development of this business segment.
  3. Negotiate and draw up client contracts, business/tender proposals and other sales materials.
  4. Provide a delightful customer experience by promptly attending to all clients’ complaints within the stipulated time frame and with good feedback to management.
  5. Follow up with both operations and clearing staff to ensure that all relevant documents are received and screened before capture and lodgement with customs to ensure compliance, identify deviation (if any) and to inform clients immediately for corrective action.
  6. Supervise, manage performance, coach and train the team in clearing, documentation and logistics for the smooth running of operations in the company.
  7. Review freight rates and other transportation costs frequently to keep operational cost at minimum levels.
    Meet the set sales, cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets and ensure that all financial transactions are well handled to ensure business profitability and growth.
  8. Coordinate and track movements of goods through logistics pathways and execute logistics plans to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule which includes organisation of transportation activities, storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements and arranging for other services as necessary.
  9. Maintain quality and ensure that health & safety standards are met in the implementation of the company’s established strategies, plans, policies and procedures on clearing, forwarding and logistics management for both imports and exports.
  10. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and ISO requirements whilst developing and maintaining a robust risk management framework.
  11. Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and implement improvement plans. Based on this, prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for submission to the board to enable strategic decision making.
