Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as Cloud Engineer located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining automated cloud infrastructure and security, coordinating with DevOps and software engineering teams, identifying and solving cloud infrastructure and security issues, and ensuring the security and accessibility of cloud-based resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS and DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.), scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.) and database management systems (SQL, NoSQL)
• Knowledge of network architecture, topology, and security (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, etc.)
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and agile methodologies
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and command line interfaces (CLIs)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
• Cloud computing certification (AWS Certified).
