The Pharma & Biotech business at LGC Standards manages a leading portfolio of research and measurement tools which have critical application across the whole drug development process from research lab to pharmacy shelf. The portfolio is comprised of a number of leading own brands including Mikromol, TRC, LGC Pharma Services and a range of third party partners.

Working within a dynamic, fast moving environment the role holder will deliver outstanding financial performance through unrelenting customer focus, excellent key account management and execution of regional sales tactics & strategies. Customer focus and commercial execution will be the guiding principles whilst expressing fully LGC Group values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business plans to deliver revenue goals within the assigned territory across LGC Pharma & Biotech products and services portfolio
  • Key Account Management, build and manage strategic and senior level customer relationships to deliver maximum revenue potentials
  • Execute group marketing strategies
  • Drive new customer acquisition
  • Advocate customer needs and align LGC Standards to these
  • Utilise company CRM system on a routine basis & in the development of territory & account plans.
  • Provide performance reports and metrics at sales review meetings, identifying areas for improvement and planned actions, and sharing best practices.
  • Keep abreast of product and industry developments and market intelligence.
  • Liaise closely with internal colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain a high level of market and competitor intelligence

Assigned territory: Spain, Italy, Portugal.

Qualifications

Your qualification

  • Masters in a Chemistry or Biochemistry area
  • Demonstrable field sales experience within the Pharma, Biotech or Life Sciences sectors, ideally in the field of lab consumables or products.
  • A full driving license
  • Fluency in Spanish, Italian and English essential with additional languages an advantage
  • Strong organizational & business planning skills - able to develop & execute business plans that deliver growth from current customer base whilst developing business growth from new customers

  • A dedicated sales professional – someone who enjoys achieving the sale
  • A team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work effectively across customer and internal stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic with a positive and can do attitude
  • Understands how to working within, and delivering results, through a matrix organsition
  • Excellent customer prospection skills – someone who thrives on identifying new opportunities and developing new relationships
  • Passion for Life Sciences essential
