You would be supporting the business in Tanzania.

Requirements
A vacancy has arisen for Branch Manager - for the Pest Control Services Division, in our Tanzania business, to be based in Dar es Salaam.
You will be responsible for consolidating the region’s existing business and growth opportunities through consumer direct initiatives for the full range of Rentokil Initial products and services.
You will lead a team of service technicians, administrators and sales consultants in delivering great customer service, and to proactively create new markets and achieve sales targets and business KPIs. A strong focus will be on developing and managing relationships with industry partners and working with them on business growth opportunities beneficial to all parties.
As part of the Leadership team, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of Rentokil Initial’s business growth plan, key business strategies and providing insight into key actions that will ensure the business attains a competitive advantage in the market, and remains on track on its agenda for growth and performance.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
• Develop and deliver frameworks for the growth of the Pest Control business by pro-actively identifying new and different business opportunities to provide increased sales
• Undertake SWOT analysis and determine appropriate business strategy to achieve agreed business KPIs
• Champion market intelligence activities and report back to management for guidance
• Create and manage an annual business development plan in liaison with the management team
• Keep abreast with all industry trends, issues and news affecting the business in the region
• Attend industry, trade and other relevant meetings/seminars to tap on networking opportunities within the region
• Delivery of tangible results against the business KPIs for revenue growth, business profitability and cash flow
• Be available to attend training and meetings on a regular basis and be able to articulate emerging business trends & critical issues for resolution and guidance.
• Work with Management and other key personnel to ensure all business opportunities for the entire region are managed professionally and that cross selling and cross border opportunities are maximised
• Coordinate effectively all service delivery visits, quality assurance checks and customer care activities
• Prepare and maintain a logical timetable for, and oversee quality assurance checks at customer premises and oversee effective documentation of QA reports and development of necessary action plans
• Ensure all service portfolios are accurately managed and evaluate the satisfaction status of existing contracts, taking efforts to avert potential terminations to improve client retention
• Oversee effective and timely service planning and scheduling
• Maintain nil or low rate of customer complaints and/or contract terminations within targets
• Consistently meet and/or surpass desired SOS, customer retention levels , and satisfactory CVC score for branch customers
• Work closely with the GM on matters pertaining to sound business controls and take full control of general administration & review of the pest control branch business processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Safeguard Company assets and carry out physical assets verification exercises annually under the direction of the FD
• Manage Company vehicles prudently ensuring that they are free from misuse, regularly serviced and maintained in good working condition
• Ensure that operational and management issues are satisfactorily communicated and resolved.
• Regularly evaluate systems and processes to ensure that maximum efficiency is achieved in the administration of resources, and management of the staff
• Obtain all relevant licenses for the business and regularly check that all pest control service activities undertaken by the business are legal and are not in breach of any known law
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners including the state authorities, other industry associations, operators and trade partners in region
• Take charge of material/chemicals usage for the branch to ensure there is no misuse; including undertaking required snap checks on requisition and effective usage of the materials. Have a monthly database of site material usage and participate in monthly stock take processes
• Review and approve travel expenditure of staff to ensure accountability and mitigate loss
• Process recruitment & admin matters relating to the branch with the support of HRO and management, and in compliance with Group HR policy and any labour manuals
• Adhere to and enforce Company SHE policy
• Carry out branch risk assessment and champion SHE for the business. Ensure extra care is taken and adequate precautions are complied with including proper use of PPE by all.
• Ensure business operates ethically, in compliance with group policies, and in particular the anti-bribery act.
• Design an effective reporting system to ensure the team maintains and provides accurate reports on existing and new business opportunities in the branch
• Prepare and maintain weekly & monthly business reports and commentary that should capture key business issues, performance vs budget/forecast and detailed explanations on variances & status of strategy and future expectations for the region
• Undertake performance evaluation for colleagues in the branch clearly identifying development need areas and ensuring colleagues are motivated to improve their performance
• Review, and evaluate the work of the service staff in relation to customer service requirements and service levels with the aim of advising Management on areas that need improvement, and initiating actions to improve the same
• Monitor sales targets for each sales team member in your branch, monitor performance and provide strong coaching and mentoring of the business development team to ensure sales targets are met and desired sales capability is achieved
• Develop a strong sales culture among the team
• Ensure that all of Rentokil Initial products and services obtain maximum focus to generate greater market share within the market
• Provide strong Rentokil Initial representation at all times
• Proactively drive debt collection through active involvement of service colleagues in the process. Liaise with the Credit Manager and branch credit controller to gather information on the credit status of all customers and facilitate collection to meet branch DSO
• Undertake other adhoc business duties as directed by Management.

• Evidence of 5 years managerial experience
