The function of the Application Manager for Microbiology & Diagnostics EMEA is to organize and drive the Application specialist team into achieving the commercial goals set for the region, providing best support to customers, strategic project management, assisting product roll-outs and establishing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving the commercial goals set for the region, in alignment with Regional Sales management and under supervision of EMEA commercial manager
  • Driving the application team to use their product and market (microbiology) knowledge to shape customers needs toward Bruker products
  • Assure that application specialists are providing customers with the best support, to increase product satisfaction and companies’ reputation
  • Establishing & maintain customer training policies to assure that customers get the most out their products and quick implementation is achieved
  • Develop close working relationships with Sales management, Product management, Service and R&D
  • Establishing & maintain policies for use of internal platforms (e.g. Salesforce), according to best practices
  • Develop and establish a KPI system to monitor customer support performance. Must be implemented in proper software solution to provide regular reports to the management
  • Project management for existing and new products, along commercial and strategic requirements
  • Organizing the application teams capability to assist new product roll outs
  • Collect, analyze, and inform internally about customer experiences
  • Collaborate with APAC and Americas application manager
  • Visit microbiology labs and KOL contacts to assist in expending relationships and market understanding

Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in a life science subject, ideally in microbiology, biology or chemistry
  • Management experience for at least 4 years
  • Clear understanding of microbiology and a good market intelligence with respect to competitive products and vendors
  • Tenacity and self-motivation inspired by success, enthusiasm, drive and initiative directed towards sales growth
  • Ability to operate in a matrix team structure to meet goals
  • Self-discipline and the ability to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment
  • Outgoing and likeable personality with a high degree of personal integrity
  • A natural team player, willing and able to build confidence and to establish co-operative relationships with personnel throughout the company
  • A very high standard of personal presentation and the ability to comply with local cultural differences
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Skilled in the English language
