JOB DETAILS:
Roles and responsibilities.
• Consolidate all advocacy and communication work plans into one document and share with
• project management team
• Work closely with project lead team to review national and international policy, instrument and
• provide recommendations as deemed necessary,
• Support with technical advice on advocacy process to Project team and National Drowning
• Prevention Network.
• Work closely with National Drowning Prevention Network (NDPN) in its basic and advanced roles
• Provide advocacy technical support to project team to enable them communicate issues in the
• course of project implementation
• Participate in data interpretation and use it to identify information gaps/interventions and develop communicative messages vii. Support and organize work related to policy review and provide
• recommendation accordingly.
• Consolidate monthly report for National Drowning Prevention Network
• Coordinate virtual meetings and documenting minutes
Qualification and experience
• Bachelor's degree in sociology, international development, communications, or a related field,
• with a minimum of three years working in advocacy fields, or an equivalent combination of
• education and experience
• Excellent English writing and a demonstrated capacity to synthesize and produce standard
• minutes from virtual organized meeting.
• Experience creating and disseminating versatile communications and advocacy products for
• global, regional, and national audiences, including for partners, policymakers, implementers,
• governments, and funders
• Experience of working on fisheries sector/drowning orevention is added advantage
