Crawford & Carruthers is searching for an experienced Safari General Management Couple in Tanzania to manage daily operations with focus on guest satisfaction, staff, conservation and commercial viability for a pre-opening of a re-launch lodge.

Minimum Requirements
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar position.
- Previous experience with Pre-Opening and Opening and advantage;
- Experience with and comfortable with island living, i.e. work in remote areas for extended periods of time.
- Flexibly to adapt to company system & structures.
- Passionate about and experience with international high-end guests and hosting.
- Strong leadership skills with commitment to teamwork.
- Strong attention to detail;
- Passionate, energetic and structure individual with strong administrative skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office, Google Drive and Res Request.
- Guiding background;
- Passionate about Marine conservations;
Job Functions
- Joint management effort to manage the daily operations, pre-opening and formal opening of the lodge.
- One partner oversees Guiding Department, including planning & organizing lodge activities with maximum efficiency, taking available assets & guests’ wishes.
- Manage and maintain strong local community relationships.
- Oversee guest service function and ensure smooth operations, excellent guest service delivery.
- Marine life management of island activities, boating, diving and fishing.
- Coordinate, direct & manage overall operations to achieve maximum commercial profitability.
- Monthly reporting on cost control, sales, feedback, logistics, maintenance and activities.
- Analyze reporting results; propose and manage direction for way forward.
- Excel-based budgeting, forecasting and tracking of camp performance.
- Supervise Department Heads.
- Supervise & Assist Camp Administration with all camp administration (inventory, sales & general camp admin);
- Oversee HR matters, i.e. training, assigning work, payroll, coaching, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
- Quality Assurance on appearance, maintenance, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and asset protection on the premises.
Preferred Education
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism.
