JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities;

• Contributing to the development of sales strategies.
• Use your knowledge of local market activity and conditions (you are “in the know”) and potential business to prioritise and organize sales leads (segmentation and targeting).
• Must independently awareness and build knowledge of the local economy, competitor trends, and general business movements
• Conducting market research on rival products.
• Identify new contacts, develop sales leads, and respond to sales opportunities in order to maximize revenue
• Working with the team to develop targeted sales strategies
• Answering client queries about product specifications and uses.
Build up new clients and relations.
• Maintaining client relations.
• Tracking sales data to ensure the company meets sales quotas.
• Creating and presenting sales performance reports.

Requirements

• Education – High school diploma, college or technical school training.
• Experience – Hospitality sales or marketing experience is preferred, though corporate sales experience and results for a reputable company will also be considered.
Communication – Very strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to connect with customers.
• Language – Strong English and Swahili written and spoken skills. Comfortable interacting with executives.
Reasoning Ability – Use of mathematical skills to interpret basic sales figures.
• Computer Skills – Sufficient computer skills that will allow you to be able to use, in a proficient manner, all Company-issued software programs implemented at the hotel, including but not limited to the following: 1. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint 2. Social Media and mobile applications 3. Internet and E-mail.
• Work Environment – Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate well with others/teams, effectively deal with guests and customers, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions (flexible). Must be sensitive to local Tanzanian cultural norms and customs. Must be prepared to conduct sales visits to customers.
• Physical Skills – The job is physically active, and the employee is required to be physically fit, extremely energetic, and active.
• Other: a driver’s license would give the candidate an advance.
