JOB SUMMARY
To ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, while also ensuring that safety standards are met throughout the duration of each task.
The Electrical Manager develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan. Ensures systematic failure, problem, and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities. Supports the Engineering Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing electrical systems or their components.
- Performs and oversees inspections in area of responsibility
- Defines electrical spare parts & guarantees technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock
- Draws up the electrical cost budget and keep costs within agreed limits
- Develop the electrical predictive maintenance plan: Optimizes reliability and maintainability of equipment by defining the electrical maintenance strategy for each system, developing and supervising the execution of the Preventive maintenance plan, ensuring systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities, providing technical support to emergency crews and staff areas
- Develop standard procedures, method statement and risk analisys for electrical activities
- Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices, guided by Company
- Diagnosing and solving electrical problems with products or systems.
- Installing, servicing, calibrating and updating electrical systems.
- Repairing or replacing faulty electrical parts of a product.
- Contributing to the compilation of user instructions.
- Conducting inspections to ensure that products or systems are in a safe and usable condition.
- Meets operational goals by contributing information and recommendations for strategic planning and review, preparing and enacting action plans, maintaining electrical production.
- Supports engineering needs by responding to service requests for mechanical and electrical problems.
- Preserves equipment in good working order by following operating instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, keeping supplies on hand, regularly performing electrical preventive maintenance and promptly scheduling repairs
Qualification & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical management positions
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Active EWURA certification is required
- 2+ years experience with electrical/electronic equipment inspection techniques; Predictive electrical maintenance; power distribution and motor control systems; PLCs and digital/electrical control systems
- Preventive maintenance program management and implementation
- Equipment & Facilities electrical maintenance management
- Budget development experience.
