Job Description :

The R&D Productivity Technician (Linux System Administrator) will be responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the performance of our Linux systems to ensure optimal productivity. They will also serve as a technical resource for the R&D teams, offering support and troubleshooting assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Linux servers, including upgrades, patches, and configuration management.
  • Develop scripts for system task automation and productivity enhancement.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
  • Research and recommend innovative approaches to improve infrastructure performance.
  • Resolve system issues, escalating them when necessary.
  • Ensure all systems are secure and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to achieve their technical objectives.
  • Participate in disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, and system optimisation activities.
  • Manage communication services, including email and messaging systems.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of R&D applications and servers within our Company, in coordination with Corporate IT technicians.
  • Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.

Job Requirements:

    • Previous experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of system security, server deployment and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong understanding of networking and demonstrated expertise in Linux server administration.
    • Certification as a Linux System Administrator or equivalent will be beneficial.
    • Fluent in English.
