Background

Zanziholics Digital Agency is a fast-growing digital marketing company, with a vision to become a 360-marketing company. We would like to offer unlimited solutions to our clients and potential clients in and around Zanzibar Island. At the moment we are working with 25 clients offering various services such as social media management, web services, and content creation. We are also offering business consultancy, and development as well as building and monitoring marketing strategies for our clients.

We’re currently searching for an experienced business development manager who can lead our team, connect with current partners, and engage current clients. Our ideal candidate will be able to implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach and strengthens client relationships. Our ideal candidate will also actively seek out other business opportunities that can boost revenue and set our company apart. Our ideal candidate is also responsible to run day-to-day operations.

 

Objectives

  • Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth and positive customer ratings.
  • Develop and oversee clients' business strategies.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with clients.
  • Use financial techniques to improve sales revenue.
  • Monitor sales progress to ensure that corporate goals are being met.
  • Track all business-related invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Developing weekly goals for the staff and business growth and ensuring they are met.
  • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven record of sales growth
  • Experience in customer service, marketing, or a sales-related field
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
