Job Title: POSIT WORKBENCH SUPPORT SYS ADMIN

Location: Remote (Global)

Long term multiple years contract (fulltime 40 hours per week)

MUST HAVES:

• POSIT Workbench: In-depth knowledge of the POSIT Workbench system, its architecture, and functionality.
• POSIT Workbench Support (new name for R Studio pro) – include these in your search string
• Need to have High Performance Computing Experience (HPC)
• A deep understanding of system administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the POSIT Workbench system.
• Strong Linux OS and administration skills/experience
• Troubleshooting: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to the POSIT Workbench system
• Expertise in managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports the POSIT Workbench, including servers, databases, networking, and storage systems.
• Proficiency in system administration tasks such as user account management, access control, security configurations, and system backups.
• Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading the POSIT Workbench and related software applications. This includes managing version control and ensuring compatibility with other systems.
• Knowledge of networking principles and infrastructure components relevant to the system's operation.
• Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Expertise in monitoring tools and techniques to proactively identify and address performance issues.

PLUSES

• Documentation Skills: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Experience with various authentication mechanisms will be used (AD, SAML, PAM, etc.)
• Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading the POSIT Workbench and related software applications. This includes managing version control and ensuring compatibility with other systems.
