Project Manager – Solar
Leap29 have a fantastic opportunity available in Madrid (Spain), on behalf of a large global IPP company that specialise in the development, construction, and O&M of large-scale Solar PV sites on a global scale.
Job Description
– Responsible for Solar Energy projects realization from kick-off meeting to commissioning including warranty period.
– Ensure that the projects are managed in proper way regarding budget, timeline, and quality.
– Review and validate technical specification notes with design engineers.
– Coordinate with onsite supervisors, ensure the proper implementation of safety rules at sites.
– Identify and make the selection of contractors and suppliers, prepare – manage – follow up with all the terms of contract.
– Implement and manage the procurement process and complete the purchasing documents, follow up with the payment.
– Report regularly to Construction Manager and Director of Operation.
– Build and manage the customer relationship during the works.
– Create, organize and maintain documents related to projects to ensure better follow-up
– Participate in regular internal meetings to discuss the status of projects, project resources, commercial and technical strategic approach and other needs.
– Make the visits to the sites in all provinces of Spain.
Job Requirements
Education
- University Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering.
- Practicing Certificate of Supervision of Equipment Installation – rank III is a must.
Experience
At least 4-year experience in Solar Energy and 2-year experience in managing Solar Projects
Skills & Knowledge
– Good understanding of the regulations and practices regarding construction of the solar plant, and exposure to EPC contracts, engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, etc.
– Good understanding about solar project management including procurement procedure, commission and relevant paperwork with local authorities.
– Strong leadership skills, ability to guide and coach subordinates to achieve the company’s result.
– Ability to present and communicate in English (both speaking and writing).
– Outstanding negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills
– Periodical travel on business trip
