Description

About the job

Red Knot Tanzania (RKT) contributes to healthy and whole communities through sport and agriculture.

Red Knot's youth sports programs exist because healthy, supported youth are motivated to become successful and dedicated members of society.

Red Knot launches and sustains children's running clubs throughout Tanzania in order to improve lives of the children involved and of their families. But these running clubs aren’t only about running -- rather, they are a tool for instilling values and developing mental fortitude in youth.

Red Knot has been instrumental in the formation of more than 80 running clubs in Mara and Geita regions of Tanzania, impacting more than 2200 children’s lives.

Red Knot is currently involved in producing two new running clubs curricula — one religious and one non-religious — which will be adopted for use in at least six African countries. Field testing of the religious curriculum began in January, and field testing of the non-religious curriculum will begin later this year.

The Program Coordinator role is a crucial position within the Children's Running Clubs programs, but also within the larger company.
