Role Description

This is a full-time Pharmacy Technician role at St Joseph Hospital mbweni in Dar es-Salaam. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service to patients. The Pharmacy Technician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate drug inventory, preparing medications, and providing patient education on medication usage and side effects.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
• Proficiency in drug dispensing and knowledge of pharmacology
• Knowledge of medical practice and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing pharmacy services
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to comply with established policies and procedures, maintain quality control standards, and ensure patient and medication safety
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of pharmacy software and inventory systems
• High school diploma or equivalent, and valid registration as a Pharmacy Technician in Tanzania
