Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Providing expert professional support on Human Resources issues, supporting line managers on the application of the company’s policies and procedures including disciplinary, grievance, compliance, capability, harassment, discrimination & absence management.
• To ensure that all company & departmental policies and procedures are applied in a fair and consistent manner. Support correspondence complies with the company’s policies and procedures and legal best practice.
• Maintaining accurate records ensuring that all HR records are held securely and properly.
• Support the staff attendance process and keep proper records. To ensure that the HR database is maintained and kept updated.
• To support the recruitment process ensuring the company attracts the right talents.
• To support the onboarding process for the new recruits.
• To maintain and provide statistical and management information on key HR metrics/ preparing reports. To supply HR period end report to HR Manager, on agreed dates, as advised.
• To facilitate the payroll process by ensuring all inputs are accurately and timely captured and approved. To ensure that the monthly payroll is undertaken in line with company procedures and timescales.
• To provide advice to employees and managers on contractual issues/terms and conditions of employment.
• To provide occasional support to the MOD function including the production and co-ordination of training material, delivering short training sessions including relevant parts of the company’s induction program.
• To organize employee related events/ theme days.
• Support the company access process and introducing staff & visitors to the airport authority.
• To provide appropriate and accurate HR administration support to the business.
• To attend the Employee Council meetings and provide necessary administrative support.
• To build effective relationships with the Trade Union. To attend the Trade union unit meetings and provide administrative support.
• To support managers regarding absence management and ensuring that return to work interviews are held and recorded and if necessary, cause for concern meetings are held in line with the Absence Management Policy. To advise managers regarding appropriate actions.
• To ensure that agreed terms and conditions of employment ensuring that these are applied consistently, and any variances highlighted to the HR Manager.
Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources function.
• University degree in Human Resources, Business Studies or related field is a requirement.
• Master’s/Postgraduate degree in Business Studies or related field.
• Good communication skills written and verbal.
• Attention to detail, Organized and methodical.
• Strong IT skills across the full range of Microsoft Office applications.
• Be confident, tactful and approachable.
• Be fair and objective, discreet.
Work well as part of a team.
Strong ER/IR experience with up-to-date employment law knowledge.
