JOB DETAILS:
Responsible for providing an effective and efficient human resource generalist function that is aligned with Ideon’s strategic goals

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementation of the organizational policies, and processes in compliance with the business strategy, growth plan, and objectives as well as legal and regulatory framework in Tanzania and in liaison with the Head office in Kenya.
• Assist in management of end-to-end recruitment of employees and ensure effective onboarding programs.
• Forecasting expected personnel demands and developing forward-thinking approaches to achieve objectives in line with the company's growth strategies.
• Assisting in designing and implementing employee relations programs, policies, and processes.
• Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction.
• Disciplinary management, grievance handling and employee separation management.
• Assist in managing and coordinating the performance management process by developing performance objectives for periodical appraisals and ensuring the right performance management tools are used to achieve employee engagement and retain high performance.
• Develop succession plans and growth paths for all employees with support from the Country Director, Head of HR and department heads.
• Identify staff training needs and oversee staff training programs both in house and external.
• Monitor the impact of training on staff in coordination with department heads and provide strategic recommendations for improvements.
• Assist in developing and coordinating the HR budgets and HR initiatives for the organization by ensuring the activities are within the budget and meet the dynamic business requirements.
• Manage HRIS as well as physical records management for all staff in Tanzania. Ensure departmental data relating to records management, leave, payroll, medical information, etc. is safely maintained in the HRIS.
• Ensure that all employment practices, compensation, employee benefits, and human resources programs are within established standards, procedures, guidelines, and policies of the organization and local labour laws.
• Assist in the payroll administration and ensure equitable salary equilibrium among all sections, units, and departments.
• Monitor, analyze & report staff satisfaction/morale and issues related to staff retention through regular staff initiatives, face-to-face staff visits, and through conducting exit interviews for outgoing staff.
• Enhance team workflows and employee job satisfaction by coordinating communication between managers and employees.
• Management of health and safety programs including employee wellness.
• Leave administration and staff scheduling

Minimum Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
• 3-5 years of experience working in a busy environment as a Generalist
• A certification in HR will be an added advantage
• Membership to relevant HR body
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• Proven working experience as a HR Generalist for at least 3-5 years
• People oriented and results driven
• Demonstrable experience with Human Resources dashboards and metrics
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases
• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent planning skills
• Reporting skills
