Description
This is a role with a diverse workforce across 54 sales and supply sites. The successful candidate in collaboration with the Group H&S Director, Global Health and Safety Leadership Team and Group Sustainability will be responsible for strategy development and implementing and overseeing the Group EHS Policies and programs across the global WMFTS business. They will ensure high levels of EHS are maintained to continually reduce work related injuries. A core responsibility is continued compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and driving the business cultural change program.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Driving the delivery of the Global H&S strategy programs, including the Group Health and Safety Excellence Framework, to ensure engagement and commitment at all levels.
- Implement and ensure buy-in to new Global H&S policies and programs across all WMFTS companies.
- Monitor and manage risk through routine audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and taking necessary measures to engineer out risks.
- Support the implementation of H&S projects to achieve H&S excellence standards, continuously reviewing and improving existing policies and procedures.
- Provide pragmatic and business-focused H&S legal guidance as needed.
- Manage the EHS function budget, conduct LE reviews, and set annual plans.
- Analyse H&S data, make recommendations for improvements, and engage stakeholders in their implementation.
- Partner with manufacturing, supply, and sales companies to drive a culture towards zero accidents through KPI progress reviews, training, and near-miss assessment.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare reports on accidents and incidents, and determine root causes and countermeasures.
- Collate WMFTS data for GEC/board reporting and present monthly performance to the WMFTS Executive team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NEBSOH Diploma/Degree qualification in Occupational Health and Safety with CMIOSH status or working towards it.
- Association to a recognised H&S body and evidence of continuous professional development.
- Substantial experience overseeing H&S in a group and/or global manufacturing environment.
- Experience overseeing H&S in a Sales division at customer sites.
- Proven experience in managing H&S in a multi-stakeholder organisation and leading the H&S agenda.
- An authentic leader with experience in creating a strong follower-ship and effective change management
