Job Mission 

We’re now on a quest for a Fullstack Engineer for our Trading squad!

• You will help us build and maintain the best possible software for energy trading, lowering our customer's costs while enabling a smarter and lower carbon energy system for everyone.
• You should be adaptable to either work on our grid rewards program or the operational side of our trading squad (building smarter trading tools. Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:
• Ability to build and maintain relevant services and tools. Our Trading squad builds its own in-house tools eg. forecasting tool and internal trading website. You should be able to build resilient services around external services that might fail.
• Stakeholder management. You will work closely with our Traders, managing and displaying large volumes of data as well as our wider Trading Squad.
• Engineering contribution. As part of Engineering at Tibber, we always strive to further develop how we work with everything from tooling to architecture and collaboration. You’re expected to take part in that development.

• Tech expertise. Comfortable designing and maintaining software in technologies like Python, .Net, and Typescript. Other technologies used are NextJS, Node.js, AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Microservices experience. Knowledgeable with microservices architecture in high throughput cloud environments.
• Web experience. Experience working with web frameworks such as React and NextJS, delivering a robust website connected to critical infrastructure.
• Relevant experience. Ideally experience working with external services eg. weather, market interfacings, and bid placings.
• Adaptability. You should enjoy and understand that there are some things that can't be done proactively, you will sometimes need to be reactive as rules/regulations can change quickly in our industry.
• Industry expertise. Understanding the energy industry is a bonus.
