Description

As an Accounting Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing the financial records of the company. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting the preparation of financial reports, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record financial transactions accurately, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare and maintain various financial reports, statements, and schedules, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  •  Contribute to the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other applicable taxes, while staying up-to-date with relevant tax regulations.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and customer billing.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting of expenses.
  • Maintain organized and well-documented financial records, both in physical and electronic formats, to facilitate efficient audits and reviews.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry practices to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Support the finance team in various ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  •  0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude to achieve results
