Job Description

As the Deputy General Manager, you will assist the General Manager in the development, direction and operations of the hotel with strong emphasis in Food and Beverage.

As a highly professional individual, you will have strong motivational skills, commercial know-how, proven leadership abilities and an outgoing personality. Your focus will be service orientated, proactive and decisive. You will be able to analyze finances and operations with a thorough and methodical approach.

Job Description

  • As Deputy General Manager you will have the opportunity to contribute to exceptional guest experience together with your team.
  • Be instrumental in driving Food and Beverage. A key focus will be on implementing strategies in line with F&B business objectives.
  • Be readily available for the teams and hotel guests, and work with the General Manager to ensure a high level of quality for all services
  • You will actively seek new business and ways of optimizing profit.
  • Translate strategic business plans into considered and achievable actions.
  • Focus on Quality and ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty thought handling complaints and coming up with solutions, analyzing and replying to guest’s feedback and oversee hotel quality performance.
  • Assist in driving annual budgets and targets and actively participate in monthly P&L and forecasts.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of new employees. Develop, coach and train the team, conduct annual performance reviews. Managerial responsibility over all of the team under your authority.
  • Step in for the General Manager when he/she is not on site
  • Analyze feedback and trends in guest satisfaction taking appropriate action.
  • Guarantee through effective supervision that all services offered are always available and are carried out with the utmost efficiency.
  • Be familiar with the hotels employee handbook and have an understanding of and enforce the implementation of the hotels policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all departmental reports and correspondence are completed punctually and accurately.
  • To lead and implement a culture of safety at work including all obligations related to H&S as instructed by the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management or related field
  • Previous experience in a senior management role in a 4/5 star hotel
  • Strong background in Food & Beverage
  • Hands-on approach, organised and supportive of your team
  • Passionate about guests and delivering great service
  • Effective communication, relationship development skills, strong representation skills,
  • Creative, innovative, dynamic, result-oriented and self-motivated,
  • High organizational planning, follow-up, presentation and reporting skills,
  • Able to use Opera Cloud at an advanced level
  • Leads by example in developing high quality relationships with the guests, ensuring that all tasks relating to guest service, comfort or satisfaction are treated with utmost priority.
