About the job

We are excited to announce the opening of our new special education school and therapy centre in Tanzania from August 2024.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive care and education to children with additional needs, integrating education and therapy services in the same space. We are committed to fostering the holistic development of each child, empowering them to reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Overview of the School

We strive to deliver high-quality, individualized care and education to our students. Our interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to ensure that each child's unique needs are met, incorporating international curricula standards and hands-on, individualized approaches to learning and therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized intervention plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to address specific needs.
  • Supervise and support therapy assistants.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance programs.
  • Implement engaging lesson plans aligned with international curricula standards.
  • Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Create and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, families, and staff.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and develop personalized nutrition plans.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree and professional licensure or certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant pediatric placements or teaching positions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate, self-driven, and dedicated to supporting the holistic development of children with special needs.

Working Hours

Full-time positions, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Opportunities may be available to take on additional private clients or participate in extracurricular activities outside of regular hours.
