1.0 Job Purpose:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Buyback Associate to join our re-commerce start-up in Kenya. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the buyback process, including identifying, developing, and maintaining buyback partners. The Buyback Associate will be responsible for achieving buyback targets, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing the conversion of devices into ready-to-sell inventory. ● Daily Buyback Reportings
● Buyback Quality Report and RTS Conversion
● Marketing Campaign Reporting

3.2 Key External Relationships:
● Buyback Partners

Key Responsibilities:
Identifying, Developing, and Training Buyback Partners:
● Identify potential buyback partners and build strong relationships.

● Develop and implement training programs to ensure partners meet quality and performance standards.
● Provide ongoing support to partners and address any issues or concerns.

Driving Buyback Targets:
● Work towards achieving quarterly buyback targets set by the company.
● Implement strategies to increase buyback volumes and enhance overall performance.

Reporting on Buyback Numbers, Quality, and Conversion:
● Generate regular reports on buyback performance, including quantity, quality, and conversion rates.

● Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
● Present findings to the management team for strategic decision-making.

Identify and Develop B2B Buyback Partnerships:
● Explore and establish B2B partnerships for buyback opportunities.
● Negotiate and finalize agreements with B2B partners.

● Monitor and optimize the performance of B2B buyback channels.

Review and Update Buyback Pricing:
● Conduct regular reviews of buyback pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
● Adjust pricing strategies based on market trends and business objectives.

● Communicate pricing updates to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
● Proven experience in buyback operations, preferably in the re-commerce or technology industry.
● Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
● Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
