JOB DETAILS:
Africa do Ltd was established in 2007 with the objective of growing and exporting Avocados to Europe. It is based in Kilimanjaro Northern Tanzania, Sanya Juu. The farm, Kifufu Estate, is situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro where it grows its fruits.

We’re looking for an experienced Human Resource officer who’s going to provide support to the Human Resource department and overall, to the company.

The position is based in Sanya Juu, Kilimanjaro region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Duties
• Filing, photocopying, and scanning of documents.
• Filing of staff documents in staff files.
• Issuing of sick sheets.
• Enrolling new staff in the NSSF and SHIB medical schemes.
• Filing of worker’s committee minutes.
• Issuing of new contracts to new general labour.
• Filling out of leave forms for staff.

• Proper handling of worker’s grievances and complaints also take part in disciplinary hearing.
• Implement the procedures in place and report any major grievances to the HR manager.
• Ensure that all company policies and procedures are implemented by all staff.

Payroll and wages
• Make sure all workers are registered with bank and have bank accounts
• Work closely with payroll clerks in both estates to ensure that all workers attendance records have been captured correctly.
• Inform workers on any major deduction before final payroll approval
• Work with payroll clerk and accounts department on ensuring that terminal benefits are paid correctly and on time.

Social responsibilities
• Work closely with other stakeholders and make sure there are smooth operations between the company and the surrounding community.
• Give prior information to Management about all visitors’ appointments.
• Application of business visas, business pass, student passes and other permits as required.
• Preparing and sharing of the weekly reports i.e. HR weekly reports, Weekly incident reports.
• Be part of the Assess and address committee – Kifufu Estate
• Health and safety incharge.
• Trainings
• Prepare annual training calendar for the company
• Coordinate trainings for each department.
• Train the staff on policies & procedure.
• COLEAD Representative on the new project FFM+

Qualification and Skills:
• Proven job experience as human resource officer.
• People-oriented and result oriented.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Good oral and written communication in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, and Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the HR officer position.
