As part of our mission, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately dispense prescription medications and ensure correct dosing.
• Provide expert advice on drug interactions, potential side effects, and proper medication use.
• Offer health and wellness counseling, including advice on nutrition, chronic disease management, and lifestyle changes.
• Deliver specialized services such as medication therapy management (MTM) and patient education on disease prevention and control.
• Administer vaccinations, including flu shots and other essential immunizations.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and provide follow-up care to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Conduct health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, glucose monitoring) and advise patients on interpreting results.
• Maintain, manage, and optimize the inventory of medications and healthcare products, ensuring proper storage and handling.
• Ensure full compliance with Tanzanian pharmaceutical regulations, ethical standards, and safety protocols.
• Build strong relationships with customers, providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop effective treatment plans for patients.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Licensed to practice in Tanzania (or eligible for registration).
• At least 5 years of experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting preferred.
• Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical products, patient care standards, and legal compliance.
• Ability to educate patients on a wide range of healthcare topics, from chronic disease management to preventive care.
• Experience in administering vaccinations and conducting health screenings is an advantage.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex medical information in a clear, empathetic way.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and systems for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous professional development.
