Location : Zanzibar

Job Purpose:
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This role includes building a new customer base from scratch, selling directly to Dukas, mini and supermarkets (shop owners), establishing and maintaining solid customer relationships. The ideal candidate must have the flexibility to adapt to changes in a startup environment.

Responsibilities:
1. 1. Sales and Business Development:
• Identify and target potential customers through proactive outreach, networking, and research.
• Generate and qualify leads to build a robust sale pipeline.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
2. 2. Sales Quota Achievement:
• Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
3. 3. Customer Management:
• Effectively communicate product/service features and benefits to clients.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements.

• Conduct compelling and informative sales presentations to showcase the value proposition of our products/services.
• Address client concerns and objections to close deals.
4. 4. Market Activities Reporting:
• Provide regular sales reports, market, and competitor updates to the commercial manager.
• Stay informed about the company’s products/services and industry trends.
5. 5. Cross-functional& Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the commercial manager to align sales efforts with overall marketing strategies.

Requirements:
• Diploma in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional qualification in sales is an added advantage.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
• Minimumof5 years of relevant sales experience in FMCG industry, preferably with exposure to sales processes.
• Proficiency in sales CRM software.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
