ScubaCaribe is the official water sports center of RIU Palace and RIU Jambo hotels in Nungwi, in the north of Zanzibar Island. We offer excursions such as snorkeling, catamaran charters, jet skiing and scuba diving.

We are looking for a capable candidate to fill the position of Receptionist with:

• a professional attitude and appearance
• a solid written and verbal skills
• the ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• a customer service skills and service first attitude
• a computer use proficiency
• a basic level of swimming skills

Your main task will be related to, but not only:

• assist the front desk team with reservation inquiries, close the sale, fill up the agenda
• answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material
• provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email. Including PADI entry level programs, dive site area peculiarities and parameters
• participate in the excursions during the training period and any time requested
• maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to front desk
• comply with the Company’s Appearance and Conduct Code

Required profile for job ad : Receptionist

• The positions will require an 8-hour shift (8:15am to 5:00pm), with a 45-minute lunch break and 1 day off per week
• The contract will be for 6 months, with a 3-month probationary period
• We offer employees three meals a day in the staff canteen
• Daily transport to and from work will be provided
• 50% of health insurance paid by the company
• Salary will be discussed during the interview, depending on the candidate's experience and skills

Principal requirements:

• This position is reserved for local citizens of Tanzania and Zanzibar only.

• A fluent level of English it is mandatory. Any additional languages will be highly considered.
• Previous experience in customer service, reception, public relation and sales will be highly considerate.
• Candidate must have high skill level with computer, email, and telephone.
