JOB DETAILS:
As a quantity surveyor you will be responsible for helping to estimate quantities and project timelines and providing this information to technical management. You will be liaising with many project departments and helping to keep a project on track.

Job responsibilities
• Review construction drawings and prepare material take-offs.
• Estimate the quantity and costs of materials together with the relevant team members.
• Support cost control process.
• Support the preparation of budget forecasts.
• Prepare the monthly interim payment application for the client
• Track the subcontracts, analyze progress of subcontractors and prepare Interim payment certificates.
• Advise technical team on improvements, strategies, risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractors

Job Qualification, Experience and Skills
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
• Tanzanian citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction engineering, construction management, or related field
• Excellent knowledge of English and Swahili
• 5-10 years of general construction estimating experience, financial experience, construction experience, or related field
• Proven computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Teams
• Able to analyze financial records
• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
• Experienced at estimating and analyzing numbers
• In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry
• Work experience with international contractor is a plus.
