JOB DETAILS:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a management role.

• Solid Experience in CIP/CIL gold production line.

• Proven track record of safety and production goals.
• Strong understanding of the Local Mining Regulations.
• Working knowledge of mine planning software programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in both English and Swahili (Write, Read and Speak)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in mining engineering or related field
• 7+ years’ experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a management role
• Experience working in multiple types of mines (coal, gold, etc.).
• Tanzanian Nationality.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Review and advise on the Exploration Report (Phase 1 & 2) conducted.
• Supervise the phase 3 of exploration (Trenching, RC & DD Drilling up to Final Exploration Report).
• Engage in the overall Mine layout and design (shafts, site camp, production line …etc.)
• Engage review and supervise Mine Resources Study and feasibility study.
• Review and advise on Production Line Specifications and capacity.
• Establish Work flow chart for the mining Operation (A – Z).
• Actively participate in hiring the Mine Management Team (Administrational and Operational).
• Pursuing suppliers and venders required for mining operation.
• Perform supplier’s management (negotiate pricing terms and purchase agreements).
• Monitoring the environmental impact of mining operations on natural resources and taking steps to mitigate any negative impacts.
• Managing a team of employees, including supervisors and foremen who oversee workers at the mine site.
• Develop and implement plans to ensure the safety of all mine personnel.
• Conducting training sessions to educate employees on mine safety procedures and protocols to ensure their safety during work hours.
• Conducting inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure that safety standards are being met.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with mine personnel, government agencies, and the public.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervise the development and implementation of the mine’s ventilation system.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the mine’s electrical system.
• Manage the construction and maintenance of the mine’s buildings and infrastructure.
• Plan and oversee the drilling, blasting, and hauling operations.
• Control the budget and expenditures for the mine.
• Monitor the production levels and quality of the ore being extracted.
• Investigate accidents and incidents at the mine and take corrective action as necessary.
• Prepare reports on the status of the mine for upper management.
• The candidate will be accommodated on site and should be willing to travel and reallocate as the job required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary range: $7000 to $8000
