Job Description

The finance manager’s role is coordinating and managing the company’s reporting process as well as

managing the end-to-end accounting function. You will be responsible for budget planning and

supporting the executive management team in making the best possible business decisions for our

business.

Your Team

The finance manager supervises the accounting and finance team and reports to the finance

director.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordinating and monitoring the day-to-day accounting operations.

2. Managing the accounting team to ensure the deliverables are met and the monthly checklist

is updated.

3. Key HR partner for the accounting team.

4. Lead management accounts reporting to the various stakeholders- shareholders, financiers,

and management team.

5. Preparation of the statutory financial reports.

6. Liaison with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

7. Lead the budgeting processing with the Heads of Department.

8. Key contact person for Tanzania Revenue Authority and ensuring the company complies

with relevant laws.

9. Tax planning for the company in liaison with tax consultants.

10. Monitoring internal financial control.

11. Assisting the executive management team in developing long-term business plans based on

financial reports.

12. Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures.

13. Liaison with fund managers for the shareholders.

14. Administrative oversight over the accounting software and other ERP systems.

15. Preparation of Bank of Tanzania (BOT) reports.

16. Assist with the financial management of related companies.

17. Managing ad-hoc financial requests.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in a finance role

• CPA(T) Qualified Accountant

• Experience in tax planning and liaison with the authority

• Sound technical and practical knowledge of accounting and regulatory reporting

requirements

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Sound knowledge and understanding of accounting software's
