The Company
E.A.L.S Limited is an incorporated company in Tanzania and operates in Tanzania with its head office in Dar es salaam. The primary objective of the company is to provide Logistics integration services to Tanzania Petroleum subsector including oil & gas projects on an end-to-end basis.

The Position: DISPATCHING RIGGER - ESCORT (LASHING) (Fixed Term Contract)

Position Objective
Execute project operational tasks as but not limited to project cargo (heavy lift HL, Out of Gage OOG, or Heavy Lift Out of Gage HLOOG cargo) discharge, loading and lashing, handling and positioning through skidding techniques using Enerpac and hydraulic jacks, operating modular trailer.

Key Responsibilities
▪ Receive cargo related to the project activities
▪Operate the heavy lift equipment (crane or Enerpac and hydraulic jacks), load and lash on a safe manner the cargo to the trailer and/or the modular hydraulic trailer
▪ Set up the equipment for heavy lift operations, execute the offloading and positioning of project cargo, and clean the field of operations
▪ Ensure all operations are conducted according to the project HSE requirements
▪ Reviewing the field of operations to provide the PH & L Supervisor a job safety analysis and ensure the site is clear from any obstacles and any hazards before work commencement. This includes the HSE procedure as well as safety rules of heavy lifting
▪ Create and track delivery orders to ensure they are all recorded
▪ Track the mobilization orders
▪ Escort of cargo when required to ensure package is safe from theft and damage
▪ Prevent equipment from mechanical failure by practising proper equipment handling and usage
▪ Participate to all safety training as required
▪ Adhere to all HSE requirements of the project
▪ Any other duties as assigned by Management

Education
▪ Minimum Ordinary Level Secondary education with license to operate lifting equipment
▪ Diploma in Logistics Management or similar field

Professional Qualification
• Rigging & Lashing certification from recognised training company such as NSL Aberdeen, LLOYDS,

Experience
▪ At least 3 years relevant experience
▪ Experience in handling, transporting (escorting) and positioning project cargo including lifts (power transformers, shunt reactors, Gensets) compulsory
