As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping us share stories that resonate and inspire action with our audiences. You will work with cross-functional teams, think strategically, and understand our business drivers and lead generation goals. You are a creative, quick learner with a keen eye for detail who has a proven track record of website administration. Your solid foundation of relevant website tools, coupled with an understanding of UX/UI trends, makes you a valuable asset to any marketing team. Finally, you balance the need for innovation and creativity with a “get it done” attitude to effectively manage deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the Senior Communications Specialist to create compelling marketing collateral. You should be comfortable designing for both digital and print applications. Projects will include — but are not limited to — comprehensive digital guides, product documentation, infographics, printed conference materials, webpage designs/builds, and a mixture of static and interactive social media graphics.
THE ROLE
The Digital Marketing Specialist is experienced, multidisciplinary, and self-motivated with exceptional communication skills. The applicant must be a team player and a resourceful self-starter who is comfortable working with a fully remote team. This role requires organization, attention to detail, and effective project management skills. Staying on top of evolving industry trends is also a key part of this role. Finally, it’s critical to adapt and work in a dynamic, changing environment while juggling multiple projects and priorities. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work remotely full time and report to the Marketing Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Publishing & Management:
- Build and publish new website content in collaboration with the Marketing Team
- Work closely with the Senior Communications Specialist to optimize company websites for organic and paid search, and utilize tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Tag Manager, etc. to support the team’s lead generation efforts
- Monitor evolving UX and UI trends, while keeping an eye on competitive advancements, to propose and implement ongoing website improvements
- Establish a continuous improvement process for optimal website performance — including technical tests, regular website maintenance (WordPress versions, plugin updates, themes, backups, etc.), optimizing site performance, and resolving technical issues
Graphic Design & Video Editing:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to create effective visuals for various forms of digital content (webpages, blog posts, social media posts, eGuides, etc.), video assets, and traditional product literature or collateral.
Digital Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent messaging and branding across all internal and external activities
- Support the Marketing Team with the client webinar program, online training promotions, and Marketing email programs (including light email design)
- Creating and nurturing leads to prospectus and close sales
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Marketing/Communications, graphic design, or web design/development (or other equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of digital marketing experience
- Proficiency in HTML and hands-on experience with WordPress
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, web accessibility, and UX/UI best practices
- Expert experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; additional experience with Marketo, Salesforce.com, Eventbrite, GoToWebinar, and Zoom Events is a plus
ASSETS
- Self-starter who performs well in a remote team environment but also thrives while working independently
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at once
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Knowledge of Google Search Console, Analytics, Ads, Keyword Planner
- Experience with project management tools, such as Asana
- Software and/or SaaS background; Museum or cultural sector knowledge is a plus
